Closer To Home Y2K Time/Date line for SpartaDOS
                        August, 2001

CTHTDL.COM is a replacement for SpartaDOS TDLINE.COM. It
corrects a bug in TDLINE that gets the day of the week wrong
after 12-31-99. It correctly shows day of week until
12-31-2083. It works fine with the RTime8 cartridge or
without the RT8 using Steve Tucker's 'APETIME' loader that
comes with APE. Or you can set the date and time, using
DATE and TIME built in functions of SpartaDOS (FTeDOS) 3.x.
CTHTDL.COM, like TDLINE, will install the internal Atari
jiffy timer if the RT8 isn't present. The jiffy counter is
off by a minute a day, but still provides the time/date
stamp on saved files. CTHTDL.COM will work with SpartaDOS
2.6 or later and FTeDOSes. You still have to load the
ZHAND.COM to access time/date functions from BASIC, just as
with the original TDLINE. Like TDLINE, TD OFF should be
done before extensive disk read/writes.

It will not work with SpartaDOS X or DOS 2, 2.5 or MyDOS.
The time date support for SpartaDOS X is hard coded into the
cartridge. You can use the older RTIME8.COM that came with
your RTime8 cartdridge with DOS 2, 2.5 or MyDOS. RTIME8
requires the RT8 cart be present.

CTHTDL.COM will work with XLIT emulator. With Atari800
emulator the time/date display is above the screen. FTe DOS
3.3 A, B, or C must be used with XLIT or Atari800.
